Rio Vista, Billerica

Rio Vista is a neighborhood of homes located on the western side of Route 3 in Billerica, Massachusetts. This area is bisected by Nashua Road (Route 4), which branches off into more than a half dozen side roads which form quiet neighborhoods. The area is a great location for commuters and travelers because it is less than a mile west of Route 3, which runs north to Interstate 495 and south to Interstate 95.

There are many different styles of homes in Rio Vista including smaller, 2-3 bedroom ranches and cottages as well as larger, 3-5 bedroom Colonials and split entry houses. Many of these residences are located in quiet neighborhoods nearby Concord River, giving many homes a gorgeous waterfront view. Other houses are tucked away near one of Billerica’s many woodland areas, making them a great place to live for nature lovers.

Rio Vista is centrally located between three large woodland areas — Greenough Land, Minnie Reed Conservation Area, and Ralph Hill Conservation Area. Concord River, a popular place to kayak, canoe, and fish, runs through both Minnie Reed and Ralph Hill Conservation. 

There are many excellent shopping centers just a short drive away from Rio Vista, the largest of which are about 8 miles south in Burlington. Burlington Mall, Middlesex Commons, 3rd Ave Burlington, Burlington Square, and an AMC Cinema can be found in a short stretch of road along the Middlesex Turnpike. The stores and restaurants at Chelmsford Town Center as well as the Shops at Billerica, the town’s largest shopping plaza, a bit closer to this area.

Rio Vista is just a short drive from Boston. Locals can enjoy the sights and sounds of the city by taking Interstate 93 south for about 30 minutes.
