Riverdale, Billerica

Riverdale is a small village in the southeast side of Billerica, Massachusetts. Most of the homes in this area are located in a small neighborhood off of Allen Road, Cook Street, and Boston Road, which makes up part of Route 3A. Route 4, Route 38, Route 62, and Route 129 are all within a few miles of this village, making it a great location for commuters.

There are many homes for sale in Riverdale that vary in shape and size. You’ll find Colonial, Dutch, ranch, split entry, and townhouse style homes with multiple bedrooms and over 1,000 square feet of living space. Some of the larger homes in the area also have an attached garage. Many of these residences can be found on the enclosed circle formed by Marshbrook Road, Riverdale Road, and Ravine Road off of Allen Road or in the large neighborhood west of Shawsheen Road.

Many homes in Riverdale have a scenic view of either the Shawsheen River or Shaloo Meadow Forest. The Shawsheen River is a popular place to ride in a canoe or kayak as well as go fishing for pickerel, trout, bass, and more. Shaloo Meadow Forest has many beautiful trails for hiking, biking, and observing nature. Those who enjoy golf can head a couple miles north to Country Club of Billerica, which features an 18 hole golf course, sports bar, restaurant, and large banquet hall.

Riverdale is conveniently located just a short drive away from many of the shopping centers in Billerica and its neighboring towns. Towne Shopping Plaza and Shops at Billerica, two of the town’s largest shopping centers, are both three miles of the village. Locals can drive about fifteen minutes north to Oakdale Mall, an indoor shopping center with more than four dozen shops and eateries.

Those living in the area can also drive about five miles south to the many shopping centers in Burlington, Massachusetts including 3rd Ave Burlington, Burlington Mall, and Middlesex Commons. Residents of Riverdale are also not far from Boston thanks to Interstate 93, which can be accessed about ten miles east of the village. Drivers can head about fifteen miles south on Interstate 93 straight into the center of Boston.
