What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? Selling cars — the auto auction business. I was able to represent car dealers, much like representing a homeowner, with the sale on the auction block and participate in the negotiations, terms and price. It was fast-paced and hustle was a requirement!
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Central Massachusetts in Oxford which is on the Connecticut state line.
Growing up, what did you want to be? Growing up I always wanted to be in some form of marketing and sales. I started my first business at 21 owning my own fitness studio.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Workout, listen to music, lift weights, yoga. dance. Anything with music!
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would like to meet Jennifer Lopez . She has grown past just being an entertainer and is a strong businesswoman.
What is Boston’s best-kept secret? The Seaport District with its restaurants, water views, room top venues and overall beauty.
What do you love most about the industry? I love being that point of contact or hub of all info related to real estate, home decorating and improvements, sharing my knowledge of the process and marketplace, as well as being a protector of my client’s best interests.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I am all about the experience for my clients. I want to go above and beyond so that they not only learn along the way but feel I added value. I distinguish myself by sharing this expectation with my clients. I share real-life stories on social media and give my clients and their homes white-glove service.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Dealing with conflict. I am the peacemaker but not all is perfect in this real estate world. Ensuring that you are proactive and have a game plan if things take a different track, can be the most challenging at times.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Listen to people. When you have the opportunity to meet a lead, ensure that you give them the floor. Share your knowledge but listen first
What has been your greatest accomplishment? Reaching top producer every year for the past eight years of my career, plus raising a family, staying fit and healthy at age 49, and having a strong career in the business at the same time.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? Anything sport-related. My house of boys only watches sports so I am all in! Bruins, Celtics, football, the pro draft … all day every day, right now!
What’s your favorite meal in Boston? Anything in the North End, with a stop at Mike’s Pastry after. Can’t beat it.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston? It’s a toss-up between Faneuil Hall and Trinity Church.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? My client almost backed out of buying a home because her pet turtle (a rather large tortoise named Twix) needed emergency surgery and she needed to use her closing cost money to save his life.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you? That I compete in fitness competitions and have achieved a pro card in competing.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why? We love Bermuda for its clear water, soft beaches and easy-going culture. Every spot on that island is beautiful

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Dotloop and the Podcast App. I listen to podcasts daily for inspo and up-to-date industry advice.
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media? Tom Ferry, the Buffin group, other realtors in other regions of the country and fitness professionals.
