Brentwood, Chelmsford

Brentwood is a neighborhood of homes less than a mile north of Interstate 495 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The neighborhood is located on Brentwood Road, which connects to Westford Street in the south and Locke Road in the north. Brentwood Road runs parallel to Route 4 and is also within a couple miles of Route 27, Route 110, and Route 129, making the area excellent for commuters.

The homes in Brentwood vary in size and style, but consist mostly of 3-4 bedroom Colonial, ranch, and split-entry houses. Many of these homes also feature a large front lawn, a private deck or patio, and attached garage. Houses in the neighborhood come with plenty of privacy as the neighborhood is surrounded by tall trees and woodland areas.

The Chelmsford Town Center is less than two miles south of Brentwood. The town center features many excellent local restaurants and shops, including a pharmacy, grocery store, and fitness center. The town center is also the site of Chelmsford’s public library and local theater. Larger shopping centers can be reached about three miles east at the Chelmsford Mall, an indoor shopping mall, and East Gate Plaza. Between these two shopping areas there are many dozen stores and restaurants. Locals are also about a fifteen minute drive away from Lowell, Massachusetts, one of the state’s largest cities.

Brentwood is centrally located between two of the area’s most popular public beaches. Residents can drive four miles west to Ronan Mcelligott Park, a public playground and beach on the eastern coast of Nabnasset Pond. About four miles south of this neighborhood is Heart Pond Beach, which lies on the eastern coast of Heart Pond. The area is also home to many state parks and conservations including Stony Brook Conservation Land, Russell Mill Pond and Town Forest, and Great Farm Brook State Park, each of which features long nature trails. In the winter, skiers can hit the slopes at Great Brook Ski Touring Center or Nashoba Valley Ski Area, both of which are approximately fifteen minutes south of Brentwood.
