Chelmsford Center
The historic Chelmsford Center is the area of the town just north of Farley Brook and just south of Old Westford Road. Many state highways including Route 4, Route 27, Route 110, Route 127, and Interstate 495, run through the region, making it easy for locals throughout Middlesex County and the rest of Massachusetts.
There are many homes throughout Chelmsford Center, most of which are located in a quiet neighborhood off of one the main roads in the area. On the east side of this area, there are many homes located near Summer Street, an enclosed circle connecting to Route 4 and Route 129. On the western side of the region, many houses can be found just south of Hunt Road and High Street.

The houses in Chelmsford Center vary in style and size, including large, 3-7 bedroom Colonials and 2-4 bedroom ranches and Capes. Most of the single-family homes in the area have multiple bathrooms, a large lawn, and an off-road driveway or garage. The town’s center is almost the site of many condominium complexes including Ledgewood Estates, Courtyard Condominiums, and Woodcrest Condominiums.
Chelmsford Town Center, the town’s largest shopping center, can be found in Chelmsford Center. This plaza features many popular local restaurants and businesses, a few banks, a pharmacy, and a fitness center. Across the street from the Town Center is the Chelmsford Public Library. Locals are also just a few miles west of Chelmsford Mall and East Gate Plaza, both of which feature many outstanding stores and restaurants.
Many scenic nature trails, bike paths, and picnic areas can be found just south of Chelmsford Town Center at Great Brook Farm State Park and Russell Mill Town Forest. Heart Pond Beach, a public swimming area on the eastern coast of Heart Pond, is located on the western side of this area. Those who enjoy skiing are also just a short drive away from the slopes at Nashoba Valley Ski Area and Great Brook Ski Touring Center, which can be found near the center of Great Brook Farm State Park.
