Westlands Chelmsford

Westlands is an area of Chelmsford north of the town center and south of the Northwest Expressway. Routes 4, 27, 110, 129, and Interstate 495 are also with a mile of this region, making it easy for locals to travel north into Lowell and throughout the rest of central Massachusetts.

There are many large neighborhoods that can be found throughout Westlands, most of which are located just off of Dalton Road, Stedman Street, or North Road. The area features many different types of houses including Colonials, Capes, Dutches, and ranches, most of which have 2-6 bedroom, multiple bathrooms, and an off-street driveway or garage. If you’re looking for something a little smaller, there are many condominium complexes nearby including Chelmsford Village Condominium, Courtyard Condominiums, and Ledgewood Estates.

Westlands - Current Listings

Most of Chelmsford’s largest shopping centers are located in Westlands. Along Chelmsford Street on the east side of this region, you’ll find the Chelmsford Mall and East Gate Plaza. Visitors of these shopping centers will find dozens of outstanding shops and restaurants as well as grocery store and a fitness center. There are many more popular local restaurants and businesses in Chelmsford Town Center, which just a couple miles south of Westlands. 

Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsboro State Forest, Billerica State Forest, and Stony Brook Conservation Land are all within a few miles of Westlands. Each of the woodland areas are great place to spend the day biking or hiking along the many nature trails. There are also a couple public beaches nearby on the coasts of Nabnasset Pond, Heart Pond, and Nutting Lake. Golfers can play a round at one the area’s public golf courses including Swanson Meadows and Chelmsford Country Club.
