Incorporated into the Commonwealth in 1636, Dedham is a medium sized town southwest of Boston. Just over 10 square miles, today Dedham’s 24,000+ residents enjoy a number of local amenities including shopping and entertainment at Legacy Place, and access to several state parks perfect for hiking and birdwatching. The hike up Wilson Mountain even offers panoramic views of the Boston skyline.

Dedham is served by the MBTA and has 2 commuter rail stops on the Franklin Line, and is also served by buses 34, 34E, and 35. Dedham shares its borders with West Roxbury, Needham, Dover, Westwood, and Canton.
