Nobscot Village is a large residential neighborhood in North Framingham. The main roads in this area are Edgell Road, Edmands Road, and Water Street, which all intersect at the center of the village. This region is known for it’s natural attractions such as Nobscot Hill, Water Park, and Garden in the Woods. The Massachusetts Turnpike, which heads west towards the New York border and east into Boston, runs along the southern edge of the village.
There are many homes in Nobscot Village that vary in size and style. You can find 2-3 bedroom Capes, Dutches, and ranches as well as Colonials with four or more bedrooms. There are also a few condominium complexes in the village including Windsor Green, which features 1-2 bedroom condos. Many of these houses are located in a quiet neighborhood off of one the area’s main roads.
The homes near Nobscot Village are centrally located between two of the area’s most popular public parks: Callahan State Park and Cochituate State Park. Both parks have picnic areas, athletic fields, and plenty of nature trails that can be used for mountain biking, hiking, jogging, horseback riding, and more. Cochituate State Park also features a large lake that can accommodate any size boat via a public launch ramp. Visitors of the lake can also fish for a variety of different species or swim along the coast.
This neighborhood is just a few miles northwest of Natick, the location of many large shopping centers. Visitors of Natick can spend the day shopping at more than 250 stores and restaurants at Shoppers World, the Natick Mall, Cloverleaf Marketplace, and Sherwood Plaza. This complex of malls also features a dine-in movie theater. Residents of a home in Nobscot Village can also take the Boston-Worcester Turnpike, which is located about two miles south of this area, west to many outdoor shopping plazas including Westmeadow Plaza, Stagecoach Plaza, and White City Shopping Center.
