Pheasant Hill

Pheasant Hill is a neighborhood homes located north of Route 30 on the northwest side of Framingham. This neighborhood is formed by a network of roads, most of which branch off of Lanewood Avenue and Angelica Drive. Many of these homes have lots of privacy as the Callahan State Park is located right next to this area.

The homes at Pheasant Hill are 3-4 bedroom raised ranches and Colonials with more than 1,000 square feet of living area. Many houses in this neighborhood have a private deck area, attached garage, and a modestly sized yard. Locals can feel comfortable exercising or walking the dog in the neighborhood as most of these streets have sidewalks.

Route 30, which travels east towards Natick and west towards Southborough and Westborough, runs along the southern end of this neighborhood. Those who have to travel further distances regularly can easily hop on either the Boston-Worcester Turnpike or the Massachusetts Turnpike, both of which are about three miles south of Pheasant Hill. These highways can take you east into Boston or west into New York.

Pheasant Hill is within driving distance of many state parks in the area including Callahan State Park, Hopkinton State Park, and the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge. Each of these woodland areas feature long trails where visitors can bike, run, hike, or go horseback riding. A few of the state parks in the area also have rivers or ponds that can accommodate cartop boats such as kayaks and canoes. Those who own a larger, motorized vessel can make the short drive east to Lake Cochituate, which has a wide, public ramp. This lake also has areas along the coast where locals can swim or fish.

Homes in the Pheasant Hill neighborhood are centrally located between large shopping centers in Westborough and Natick. In Westborough, you can go shopping at Westmeadow Plaza or Stagecoach Plaza, two large outdoor shopping plazas. In Natick, you’ll find a few shopping centers, the largest of which is the Natick Mall with more than two hundred restaurants and shops. The shopping complexes in both of these cities also have a movie theater.
