Highland Estates is a small neighborhood of homes west of Lincoln Street in Franklin, Massachusetts. The houses in this area are mostly located along Cranberry Drive, High Ridge Circle, Newell Drive, and Deerview Way. This safe and quiet neighborhood has plenty of privacy, very little through-traffic, streetlamps, and sidewalks on most streets.
The homes in the Highland Estates neighborhood are mostly 4-5 bedroom Capes and Colonials with four or more bathrooms and thousands of square feet of living space. Many of these houses also have an attached garage and a large yard as well as a private balcony, patio, or deck area.
Those living in this neighborhood can easily travel around the state of Massachusetts or make their daily commute to work due to its convenient location near many highways and state routes. Interstate 495, Route 126, and Route 140 are all just a short drive away from Highland. Those who prefer to take the train can hop on Franklin’s local stop along the MBTA Commuter Rail.
Highland Estates is about a mile south Dacey Community Field, the site of baseball diamonds, a playground, a dog park, and more. Locals can also spend a day hiking, biking, or off-roading along the trails at one of the many nearby woodland areas including Wrentham State Forest, F. Gilbert Hills State Forest, and Franklin State Forest. Golfers can hit the links at Heather Hill Country Club, Bungay Brook Golf Club, or Franklin Country Club Golf Course, all of which are located south of this neighborhood.
Residents of this neighborhood can get plenty of shopping done at one of the plazas along Central Street in the center of Franklin. These plazas have grocery stores, local businesses, eateries, pharmacies, banks, and more. Locals can also drive about fifteen miles in any direction and arrive at a larger shopping center. The Natick Mall, Patriot Place, Quarry Square Shopping Center, and Wrentham Village Premium Outlets are all within driving distance of Highland Estates.
