Mackintosh Estates is a neighborhood of homes located between Lincoln Street and Pleasant Street in Franklin. Pine Ridge Drive and Mackintosh Road connect to form a circular neighborhood where most of the houses in this area are located. The tall trees, paved sidewalks, and minimal through-traffic makes this neighborhood private, safe, and quiet.
The homes in Mackintosh Estates vary in style and size, but include Colonials, Capes, and raised ranches with three or more bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, and plenty of living space. Most houses in the neighborhood have spacious yards and an off-street driveway that leads up to an attached garage. These homes are also just a short drive from Route 115, 140, and Interstate 495.
This neighborhood is a few miles north of many outstanding natural attractions in both Franklin and Wrentham, Massachusetts. In Franklin, locals can spend a day outdoors swimming at Chilson Beach along the coast of Beaver Pond or hiking along the trails of Franklin State Forest. This forest also has designated areas for off-roading in ATVs and cross-country skiing in the winter months. Residents of Mackintosh Estates can also enjoy the many trails between Harold B. Clark Town Forest, Wrentham State Forest, and F. Gilbert Hills State Forest, all of which are less than a mile south of Route 140 in Wrentham.
Mackintosh Estates is a few miles east of Franklin Village Plaza, a small shopping center along Route 140. Between this plaza and a few others on Central Street in Franklin, locals will find pharmacies, grocery stores, and banks as well as many local restaurants and businesses. Residents of this neighborhood can also travel east towards Patriot Place in Foxborough or Wrentham Village Premium Outlets in Wrentham, Massachusetts. There are more than a combined 250 stores and eateries between these two plazas. Gillette Stadium, a popular sports and music venue, can also be found in the Patriot Place plaza.
