South Hill Estates

South Hill Estates is a development of houses located on the south side of Franklin. These homes are located on an enclosed circle with no through-traffic formed by Opal Circle, Garnet Drive, Ruby Way, and Jade Street. This area is centrally located between Route 114, Route 121, Route 126, Interstate 495, and a stop along the MBTA Commuter Rail.

The homes in the South Hill Estates development are mostly large and luxurious Colonials with 4-5 bedrooms, 2 or more bathrooms, and multiple thousands of square feet of living space. Most of the houses in this area also have an attached garage, spacious yard, and a porch, deck, or patio area. This development is surrounding by a fairly large woodland area, giving these many of these homes lots of privacy.

This neighborhood is a few miles south of Franklin State Forest, an 800+ acre woodland area with many different nature trails and a designated area for riding ATVs. Residents of South Hill Estates can also head directly east to Wrentham State Forest, which also features miles of trails. Golfers living in this development are surrounded by many challenging courses including Heather Hills Country Club and Bungay Brook Golf Club. Those who enjoy getting out on the water can head west to the Charles River, north to Beaver Pond, or east to Lake Pearl.

This development is seven miles directly west of Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, an outlet mall with more than 100 outstanding shops and eateries. A few miles northeast from Wrentham Village is Patriot Place in Foxborough, another large outdoor shopping plaza that also features a movie theater and Gillette Stadium, a popular music and sports venue. Out of all the neighborhoods in Franklin, South Hill Estates is perhaps the closest to the exciting city atmosphere of Providence, Rhode Island, which is about twenty miles south of this development.
