Summer Heights is a small area of houses just west of Summer Street near the eastern border of Franklin. These homes can be found on an enclosed circle formed by Summer Heights Drive, Autumn Lane, and Fall Lane. This neighborhood’s minimal through-traffic, paved sidewalks, and streetlights make it an excellent place to take the dog for a walk or run around the block.

Most of the homes in Summer Heights are large Colonials with 4-5 bedrooms, 2-4 bathrooms, and 2,500 square feet of living area. Many of the houses in this neighborhood also have an attached garage, spacious yards, and a porch, deck, or patio with plenty of privacy due to the tall trees throughout the area. Residents can easily drive throughout the state via Interstate 495, which is located less than a mile south of this neighborhood.

These homes are less than three miles south of Franklin Village Plaza and a few other shopping areas along Route 140, which runs horizontally through the center of Franklin. These plazas feature many excellent local businesses and restaurants as well as a few banks, grocery stores, and a pharmacy. Summer Heights is also just a fifteen minute drive away from Wrentham Village Premium Outlets and Patriot Place, two large outdoor shopping centers with more than 100 stores and eateries. Gillette Stadium, which frequently hosts concerts and sporting events, is also located in the same area as Patriot Place.

Residents of Summer Heights can spend the day exploring a network of scenic trails at Franklin State Forest, which is about five miles west of these homes. Chilson Park, the site of a public beach, picnic areas, and large fields, is also just a short drive west of this neighborhood. Fishing and boating enthusiasts can head about four miles west to Lake Pearl in Wrentham, where visitors can fish for trout, bass, and more or launch their cartop or motorized boat out onto the water using a public ramp. Many popular golf course including Heather Hill Country Club, Wentworth Hills Country Club, and Franklin Country are just a short drive away as well.
