Reading MA Real Estate
Located approximately 10 miles north of Boston, the town of Reading is a medium-large community with a population of roughly 24,750 in its 9.9 square mile area. Founded in 1644, Reading experienced major growth following World War II as populations left the cities for quieter suburbs like Reading. In the 1980s and 1990's several subdivisions of large homes, now on the market for over $1 million each, were built. Two such subdivisions are Carriage Estates and Pine Grove Estates. Despite development, Reading retains at least 5 conservation areas with trails open to the public, including Bare Meadow Trail and Higgins Conservation Area.
Reading borders Woburn, Stoneham, Wakefield, Lynnfield, North Reading, and Wilmington. Reading is accessible by I-93 and I-95.
