Southwoods is a neighborhood of homes in the southwestern side of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. This neighborhood branches west off of Walnut Street and north off of Brooks Street. These homes are located on Tralee Lane, Waterville Lane, and Lahinch Lane, which is a cul-de-sac. This neighborhood is conveniently located close to Rte. 9 and Rte. 20.

The homes in Southwoods are just a short drive from many large shopping plazas in Shrewsbury, Northborough, and Westborough, Massachusetts. This neighborhood is less than two miles west of George H Nichols Reservoir, a large body of water and popular fishing area in Westborough. There are also many trails and grassy areas surrounding the reservoir where visitors can hike or have a picnic. Boat-owners can head about five miles west to Lake Quinsigamond, which features many launch ramps along its coast. This lake is also an excellent place to go fishing or swimming at the beach on the lake’s western coast. Residents can enjoy many scenic trails at the massive, 2,600 acre Upton State Forest, which is only about a 15 minute drive south of this neighborhood.
