Winchester Estates is a neighborhood of homes east of Cherry Street in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The main roads in the area are Rockwell Drive, Farmington Drive, and Gold Street, which form a small neighborhood with very little through traffic. This neighborhood is also located in the center of a triangle formed by Route 140, the Boston Turnpike, and the Hartford Turnpike, making it easy for locals to travel and commute to work.

The homes at Winchester Estates are mainly 3-5 bedroom Colonials with multiple bathrooms. Most of these homes have an attached garage, large yard, private deck or patio, and living space that exceeds 2,000 square feet. Locals can feel comfortable walking the dog or jogging around the neighborhood as the streets have paved sidewalks as well as street lamps on both sides of the road.

This neighborhood is less than two miles south of Route 9, where Shrewsbury’s largest and most popular shopping areas are located. The closest to Winchester Estates is Shrewsbury Crossing, which features a supermarket as well as many excellent stores and eateries. Olde Shrewsbury Village, White City Shopping Center, and Northborough Crossing are also just a quick drive away. Those who enjoy a city atmosphere can make the short drive west into Worcester, where they’ll find many outstanding local businesses and restaurants as well as a few museums and performing arts centers such as the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Winchester Estates is surrounded by many natural attractions where locals can fish, boat, golf, hike, or simply enjoy the outdoors. Lake Quinsigamond, where visitors can take their boat on the water, swim or lie in the sun at Quinsigamond State Park, and fish for dozens of different species, is about five miles west of this neighborhood. Golfers can play a round at one of the many nearby challenging courses such as Green Hill, Juniper Hill, and Cyprian Keyes. Miles of scenic trails can be found by George Nichols Reservoir in Westborough or at Dean Park, Prospect Park, and Rawson Hill in Shrewsbury.
