Deer Run is a neighborhood of homes just south of Kittredge Road in northwestern Spencer. Deer Run Road, Thornberry Circle, and Bellflower Lane connect together to form the enclosed circle where these homes are located. This neighborhood is within a few miles of Route 9, Route 31, Route 67, Route 148, making it easy for residents to travel or commute throughout the region.

The homes at Deer Run are mostly spacious, 3-4 bedroom, 2-4 bathroom Colonials. Most of these houses have a large yard, an attached garage, a private deck, and over 1,800 square feet of living space. This quiet neighborhood has paved sidewalks on every street and very little through traffic.

Deer Run is directly across the street from Horse Pond Brook, Fivemile River, and their surrounding woodland areas. Both of these bodies of water feed into larger reservoirs that are great for fishing, while the surrounding woodland areas have paths to hike, bike, and naturewatch. This neighborhood is also just two miles south of Brooks Pond Beach, a public beach located at the southern end of Brooks Pond. This pond is a great place to swim, fish, and go boating.

Residents of a home in Deer Run can take Route 31 a few miles south into the center of Spencer where they’ll find the town’s historical district, a grocery store, pharmacy, and a few other local business and restaurants. The town’s post office, public library, and Accountant Office are all in the area as well.

Those looking to spend some time in the city can head fifteen minutes east of Route 9 to the center of Worcester, or take the Mass Pike (I-90) roughly an hour east into Boston. Whether you’re traveling east or west, access points to the Mass Pike are less than ten miles south of Deer Run.
