Lambs Grove, Spencer

Lambs Grove is a neighborhood of homes in the northern side of Spencer, Massachusetts. Lambs Grove, Ledge Avenue, Overlook Drive, and Birch Drive come together this enclosed neighborhood east of Paxton Road. This area is centrally located between Routes 9, 31, 56, and 122, all of which lead directly to either Interstate 190, Interstate 290, or the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90).

The homes in Lambs Grove vary greatly in size in style. Most of the houses in the area are single-family homes with 2-4 bedrooms and 1-4 bathrooms. Colonials, ranches, cottages, and split entry style residences can all be found in this neighborhood.

Many of the homes in Lambs Grove have a scenic view of Sugden Reservoir, which is located just south of the neighborhood. This reservoir is 85 acres in size and the public is welcome to use their motorized boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards on the water. The public can access this body of water on its eastern side near on Donnelly Cross Road.

Moose Hill Wildlife Management Area is less than a mile north of both the reservoir and Lambs Grove. Here you’ll find many excellent trails for hiking and observing the local wildlife. Many more nature paths, hiking trails, and picnic areas can be found at Burncoat Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, Oakham State Forest, Spencer State Forest, and Eames Pond, all of which are within a fifteen minute drive of this neighborhood.

Lambs Grove is within driving distance of the two largest cities in Massachusetts: Worcester and Boston. Worcester, where visitors can find many excellent eateries, stores, and performing arts theaters, is only about ten miles east of this area. Residents can take the Mass Pike about an hour east directly into the heart of Boston, or to eastern New York if they wish. This neighborhood is also just a short drive away from many outstanding golf courses including Kettle Brook Golf Club in Paxton and Strawberry Hills Golf Course in Leicester.
