Located 21 miles west of Boston, Stow is a small Massachusetts town located in Middlesex County. The first colonists arrived in Stow as early as 1669, and later became home to textile mills. Today, Stow has a population of around 6,590 residents who live within its 18.1 square mile area. Residents enjoy trails along the Assabet River Wildlife Area, four different golf courses, and orchards for apple picking every fall. The Lower Village neighborhood, which was the former town center, is approximately one mile away from the current town center, and offers the convenience of many small businesses.
