Walpole MA
Located in Norfolk County, Walpole is a large town approximately 15 miles southwest of Boston. Colonists first arrived to settle the area, which was then part of Dedham, in 1659. As of 2010, the population of Walpole was 24,070 residents living within the town’s 21 square mile area. Walpole offers a number of areas for recreation, including the 89 acre Francis William Bird Park, with over 3 miles of trails. Brush Hill Estates and High Oaks Estates are some of Walpole’s most desirable neighborhoods at the moment, both have seen recent construction of $1 million+ homes.
Walpole borders the surrounding towns of Dover, Westwood, Canton, Norwood, Sharon, Foxborough, Norfolk, and Medfield. Walpole is accessible by two different MBTA Commuter Rail stops, Walpole and Plimptonville. Walpole is also on the route of MBTA Bus 34E. Walpole is served by routes 1, 1A, and I-95.
