Many of Worcester’s new construction projects are located on the outskirts of the city’s center in neighborhoods such as White Birch Commons, Village at Burncoat Heights, and Tatnuck Woods. All of these developments are in progress, though the building process has already begun.

White Birch Commons and the Village at Burncoat Heights are both north of Worcester’s center and feature homes that are mostly 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom units. Tatnuck Woods is on the western side of Worcester, featuring mainly split-entry homes with 3-4 bedrooms and 3-4 bathrooms. New houses are also being constructed in Webster Square, which is located in the southern end of Worcester.

All of Worcester’s new construction developments are within driving distance of a large shopping center. New developments in the northern part of the city are within a few miles of Greendale Mall, an indoor shopping center, and Lincoln Plaza, an outdoor shopping plaza. Those living at new developments in the west of the city are centrally located between Greendale Mall and Lincoln Plaza as well as Mill Street Plaza and Webster Square Plaza, both of which are located on the southern border of the city. Many of these new construction projects are also just a short drive from large shopping malls in Auburn, MA, to the south, or in Shrewsbury, MA, to the east.
