Tatnuck Neighborhood

Tatnuck Neighborhood is a suburban area just west of the center of Worcester, Massachusetts. Worcester State University, a public university that enrolls over 6,000 students, was established in 1874 in the center of this neighborhood. The area is also known as the location of Patch Reservoir, which can be found on the western side of the neighborhood.

The homes in Tatnuck Neighborhood are mainly located in quiet neighborhoods off of Pleasant Street, June Street, and Chandler Street (Route 122). Units in the area range from cozy, 2-3 bedroom townhouses to larger 3-6 bedroom Colonials. Most of the houses in the area have multiple bathrooms as well as a garage or private driveway.

One of the main attractions of the Tatnuck Neighborhood area is Tatnuck Country Club, which features a 9-hole golf course and a recreation area with a swimming pool and tennis court. There are also many public parks and conservations nearby. Those who enjoy hiking, mountain biking, birdwatching, or just getting outdoors, can visit Green Hill Park or Cascades West Conservation Area, both of which are within a few miles of the area.

There are plenty of shopping areas near Tatnuck Neighborhood, many of which can be found in the center of Worcester which is just a few minutes from this neighborhood. Two of Worcester’s premier shopping centers, Greendale Mall and White City Shopping Center, are both approximately five mile drives to the east. 

Many highways and state routes can be found near Tatnuck Neighborhood, making it a great location for commuters to live. Locals can quickly hop on Interstate 290, which connects to I-190, I-495, and the Mass Pike, which travels from Boston to western Massachusetts. Route 9, 12, and 122 can also be accessed within a few miles of this neighborhood.
